A Bagful of Dreams - A musical performed by Ritinjali's Second Chance School

It was show time for the boys of the Second Chance School on 10th November 2012. The excited bunch of actors that included Ritinjali members and well-wishers too besides the boys took the stage after months of rehearsal to stage a musical in English called ‘A Bagful of Dreams’. This play written by Mariam Karim Ahlawat was directed by Neelam Gupta to the musical score by Peggy Mohan.

The play told the story of a group of street children who dreamt big despite their adverse circumstances and exploitation which was a part of their everyday life. Some of these children were kidnapped so they decide to work together to trace their missing friends.

The Second Chance School boys were confident on stage and performed their roles to perfection. They had mastered the musical score in English and their rendition of it was flawless. The huge audience in the Stein auditorium at the India Habitat Centre gave the actors a standing ovation for their excellent performance.
