Holistic Community Development
Community Hubs and Learning Centres
Ritinjali runs learning centres in Kusumpur Pahari, an urban slum in South Delhi’s Vasant Vihar Region, and the Ekta Camp in Vasant Kunj. The centres were established in 1995, and started off as bridge schools, offering education to out-of-school children aged 4 to 14, with the goal of preparing them for mainstream formal education. Currently, nearly all students from these centres have successfully integrated into government, public, or private schools.
Over time, Ritinjali’s Learning Centres have evolved into community hubs, extending their role beyond education to become focal points for community activities. This holistic approach reflects the organisation’s commitment to community development and engagement.
