Empower Programme

Personalized support to breakthrough barriers  

Launched in 2023, the Empower Programme was designed in response to the evolving needs of urban disadvantaged youth—particularly women and school dropouts who are often excluded from conventional skilling pathways. Grounded in Ritinjali’s long-standing community engagement, the programme emerged from a rigorous needs assessment and reflects our commitment to inclusive, future-ready education.

At its core, the Empower Programme offers foundational training in spoken English, digital literacy, financial awareness, and mental well-being. Beyond technical skills, the programme focuses on building confidence, agency, and a clear sense of direction for each learner. Students receive mentorship and industry exposure to broaden their horizons and make informed, empowered career decisions.

Our approach is holistic and tailored—learners are supported in continuing their formal education through open schooling options like NIOS and OBE, while being guided into livelihood pathways aligned with their interests and aptitudes. We place strong emphasis on non-traditional and emerging career options, enabling young people—especially women—to break social and economic barriers and explore dignified, aspirational work in areas often overlooked by mainstream programmes.
