Learning Centres

Ritinjali runs learning centers in Kusumpur Pahari, an urban slum in South Delhi’s Vasant Vihar Region, and the Ekta Camp in Vasant Kunj. The Learning centres were established in 1995, and started off as a bridge school, offering education to out-of-school children aged 4 to 14, with the goal of preparing them for mainstream formal education. Currently, nearly all students from these centres have successfully integrated into government, public, or private schools.

The learning centers go beyond traditional education, providing an “After School” program that complements the prescribed academic curriculum. This program includes interactive learning activities such as games, music, theatre, and arts. One-on-one teaching and group sessions are integral components, ensuring a personalised and comprehensive approach to education and offering additional education support to our children.

Experiential learning is a key aspect of the curriculum, with regular excursions organised to enhance the children’s understanding through practical experiences. These excursions contribute to a well-rounded education, making the learning process more engaging and relevant.

Over time, Ritinjali’s learning centres have evolved into community hubs, extending their role beyond education to become focal points for community activities. This holistic approach reflects the organisation’s commitment to community development and engagement.
